At last, I visited Rikugien for the first time today, even though I have often heard about its reputation from many people. It is indeed famous for its magnificent weeping cherry blossoms, but I didn’t know it also offers a unique autumn foliage experience. Isn’t it wonderful that we can enjoy such beautiful autumn leaves even in Tokyo?
Rikugien was originally the residence of a daimyo during the Edo period. It is home to many pine trees, which were beloved by the daimyos because they were considered symbols of good fortune. Here, we can marvel at the harmonious blend of pine trees and colorful autumn leaves, creating an elegant and refined atmosphere.
